Abused Men

Domestic violence does not only affect women, but due to statistics society tends to look at primarily
the female gender. Other reasons why it is not seen as a big problem is because many men do not
speak of the abuse they endure and may remain in the abusive relationship because they believe it
would be shameful to admit they were abused by a woman, because they believe it will pass, that they
deserve it, or that all is needed is some "cooling down" time. But, it is a serious problem and DADV
as well as other organizations wish to address the problem as well as provide avenues where men
who are victims of domestic violence may receive assistance.

too can receive help for domestic violence and abuse.
