Is there anything else I should do immediately after an assault? You should probably go to the hospital, a medical clinic or your doctor. You will need to take care of yourself if you are injured, but as well, a doctor can document your injuries and this can be useful to you in later legal proceedings. You might consider having photographs taken of your injuries, as this is powerful evidence of your situation. It is also a good idea for you to keep a written record of your assault and especially any threats or abusive comments.
